Paths to Power
Living in the Spirit’s Fullness
by A.W. Tozer
- Power in Action — We shall have as much success in Christian work as we have power, no more and no less.
- Gods Part and Mans — There are some things which only God can do, and for us to attempt to do them is to waste our efforts; and there are other things which only man can do, and for us to ask God to do them is to waste our prayers.
- The Fruits of Obedience — The Bible recognizes no faith that does not lead to obedience, nor does it recognize any obedience that does not spring from faith.
- Miracles Follow the Plow — God works as long as His people live daringly: He ceases when they no longer need His aid. As soon as we seek protection out of God, we find it to our own undoing.
- Doctrinal Hindrances — A discussion of some doctrines regarding obedience which are wrong or unbalanced. A wider study of the areas mentioned is warranted.
- Through the Out-poured Spirit — While Christendom as a whole has been content with creed and form, there has always been a smaller group within the larger body which has proved the promises and enjoyed the fruits of Pentecost.
- Unity and Revival — God will bless a body of men and women who are one in spiritual purpose, even if their doctrinal positions are not identical on every point.
